HAGON YAMAHA
In the world of chassis an all-aluminium alloy one is a bit special. Grasstrack and sprinter Alf Hagon took on the development of the chassis from an employee and produced a sidecar for Ton van Heughton to race and win on, then Vic Eastwood wanted a solo racer but had to have a Suzuki engine as Vic had connections with the marque. By far the most of these stunning machines had big Yamaha XT based engines in them and that’s what’s in Lee Davies’ example. Despite being a 500 when lots of his competition are running 600s, Lee looked to be going well out on the track and mentioned to us the handling is spot-on.
