Power to the people!

I’ve said it once – I’ll say it again – but the people in this hobby/industry/lifestyle that we enjoy really make it very special. Check out the guys above. When our Down Under contributor Karl Webster mailed me at the last minute asking to sneak in a couple of pages on their involvement in the AMCN Phillip Island Classic, I had to comply as the story was your typical mish-mash of everyone mucking in to make for a giant-killing weekend. You can read the tale of the CMM- badged Kawasaki ZXR750 H2 on page 26, but every month the mag is full of such stories. This month’s main test is on the very special Lucky 7 FZ750. Those that went to the Motorcycle Live show at the end of 2014 will recognise the exhaust pipe on the bike – it was lent to our Bertie Simmonds own Steve Parrish for the event, so thanks to Steve Adams for that. Read about his beautiful bike on page 44. Thank yous too have to go to those that let CMM loose on their pride and joys. People like Ray Gale who allowed Steve Cooper onto his very special Jarno replica (page 56) and Steph Murchison whose CB550 features on page 30. Without you (and our old friend Andy Bolas who is now a regular part of CMM) we wouldn’t be able to show the readers some beautiful bikes. So remember it’s the people that make this hobby of ours special – not just the machines. So pat yourselves on the back, do unto others as you would wish done unto you, and keep on rolling!
