In cel­e­bra­tion of 40 years of the leg­endary May Day Run from Locks­bot­tom in Kent to Hast­ings, East Sus­sex, Swin­ton In­sur­ance has teamed up with lo­cal events com­pany bike1066 to put on a mas­sive fam­ily-friendly fes­ti­val of mo­tor­cy­cling over the May Day week­end (May 5-7). The May Day Run started in 1979 and to­day the run at­tracts up to 40,000 bik­ers and mo­tor­cy­cle en­thu­si­asts, with vis­i­tors ar­riv­ing from all over the coun­try on bikes, trikes ‘n’ quads of all shapes and sizes. Dan Agate of Swin­ton Bikes says: “The May Day Run is a unique ex­pe­ri­ence, full of peo­ple all driven by their pas­sion for motorcycles and all head­ing for Hast­ings. We are re­ally pleased to have been in­vited to be a small part of such a unique bik­ing ex­pe­ri­ence.” The event takes place at Stade Open Space, (right in the heart of the old town sea front at Hast­ings), Rock-a-nore Road, Hast­ings TN34 3DW. At­trac­tions in­clude the Ken Fox Wall of Death, an Isle of Man TT Race sim­u­la­tor, big screen Bri­tish Su­per­bike rac­ing cov­er­age, a Street Cus­tom Ex­hi­bi­tion and a ROCK1066 – 12-hour rock mu­sic marathon as well as hun­dreds of traders and ex­hibitors:
