MAY DAY RUN HITS 40!
In celebration of 40 years of the legendary May Day Run from Locksbottom in Kent to Hastings, East Sussex, Swinton Insurance has teamed up with local events company bike1066 to put on a massive family-friendly festival of motorcycling over the May Day weekend (May 5-7). The May Day Run started in 1979 and today the run attracts up to 40,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts, with visitors arriving from all over the country on bikes, trikes ‘n’ quads of all shapes and sizes. Dan Agate of Swinton Bikes says: “The May Day Run is a unique experience, full of people all driven by their passion for motorcycles and all heading for Hastings. We are really pleased to have been invited to be a small part of such a unique biking experience.” The event takes place at Stade Open Space, (right in the heart of the old town sea front at Hastings), Rock-a-nore Road, Hastings TN34 3DW. Attractions include the Ken Fox Wall of Death, an Isle of Man TT Race simulator, big screen British Superbike racing coverage, a Street Custom Exhibition and a ROCK1066 – 12-hour rock music marathon as well as hundreds of traders and exhibitors:
