While we are on the subject of The National Motorcycle Museum please don’t forget their unique ‘friend’s scheme’ which give its members the chance to take part in some unique activities including the museum’s Try a Classic Bike training days. The museum’s James Hewing explains: “These events give members the opportunity to ride a wide selection of machines from the museum’s inventory. Our training days are the perfect opportunity to ride bikes that most people haven’t experienced, from the oldest pioneer single speeders through to first exotic superbikes from names like Vincent! All this takes place in a safe off-road environment and under the supervision and guidance of experienced museum personnel. A nominal cost to cover insurance applies to those taking part.”
