CLASSIC COOL AT MOTORCYCLE LIVE!
More than 100,000 mad keen bikers came through the doors at Brum' s NEC to witness the annual spectacle that is Motorcycle Live! Of course it' s all about brand-new metal at this motorcycle show, but once more the classic and retro/ classic element was strong and there for all to see. One of the highlights was a replica Spitae re on the CCM stand to push the (not so pretty) two-wheeler of the same name. A number of European manufacturers such as Triumph, BMW and Moto Guzzi showed their current retros range, but for us we felt that Kawasaki and Suzuki nailed it once more. Not only did Kawasaki have a number of versions of the oh-so-sexy Z900RS on display, but also an example of the range of colours it could come in. They had the new W800 on display too. Suzuki had the new Katana (many said it looks better in the esh) as well as examples of their classic machines on display with the Vintage Parts Programme boys as well as a full show strip/rebuild of a Barry Sheene race bike.
