The Lansdowne Classic Series British Champion for 2015 is Mike (Spike) Edwards, who campaigned a Team Ripley Land G50 Matchless. The series goes from strength to strength and enjoyed a terrific 2014 season, with 23 races at seven of the top circuits in the country – Pembrey, Silverstone, Cadwell Park, Castle Combe, Oulton Park, Donington Park and Brands Hatch, with host clubs BMCRC, CRMC and North Gloucester. Edwards was chased hard all season by team GB Access with two beautiful Manx Nortons ridden by Duncan Fitchett and Alex Sinclair, followed by Mike Russell, V&N Racing, and Keith Clarke, Izzard racing. The National Motorcycle Museum WRR 500cc Lansdowne Championship was won by Peter Crew after a season-long battle with Gordon Russell and Andy Reynolds. The 350cc class, sponsored by Avon Tyres, was won convincingly by the 7R AJS of Seb Perez followed home by the Manxes of Ian Lucas and Nick Bedford. The Classic Motorcycle Magazine class, for pre-54 motorcycles in Goodwood Revival specification, was won by Mike Farrall and his indecently fast methanol burning Rudge. The KarlHeinz Lansdowne Cup, for the rider who amasses the most points, went to Seb Perez, who started and finished all races. The Lansdowne has been asked to run a race at the Donington Park Motogp meeting on August 29-30, but this will not be a championship round.
