GOOD SERVICE

-

Dear Malc, I feel I must write to let you know just what wonderful service I have had with Derek, one of your staff. First of all, he spoke with our Lincolnshire dialect, and he made what was a potentially complicated transaction, very simple and straightforward. For many years I have been an avid subscriber to your Classic Racer and go way back to the days at Cadwell, where the Skegness Club always had the first club meeting of the year, and a certain Malcolm Wheeler was a competitor. I was one of those hand-picked marshals who on occasions had to drive their own car around the circuit in order to get rid of the occasional snow flurry! My call to Derek was to renew my annual subscription and that of my son, because it was always our Christmas box for him, but with a name like ours, one living in Gainsborough and the other Branston, and with different renewal dates, together with a voucher to mark the present for him, it sounded very complicated, but not a bit. Derek soon sorted it out in a very relaxed way, and made us sound like friends. This is what I call caring and personal service, something which is lacking in many aspects of life nowadays. He is a credit to you and the company and I am very pleased to be able to bring this to your attention. Peter Naulls Gainsborough

Sincere thanks for those kind words Peter; I have passed them on to Derek and to his line manager. I well remember those early Seventies March meetings at Cadwell, it makes me shiver just thinking about it. Malc
