BHR Cadwell Park
British Historic Racing concluded its season at picturesque Cadwell Park. Mikeyiend brings us all the action.
1: An already busy BSSO scooter grid was further bolstered by a small contingent of very rapid Italians. Despite their relative unfamiliarity with Cadwell, they were in the thick of it all weekend with Luca Flischini (3479) making it onto the podium in the final race and team-mate Luca Zani getting a best of fifth place. 2: Tony Perkin was left in the wake of fellow 500 Rudge rider Mike Farrall all weekend, but his three second places were more than enough to secure him the Tuers Garage Pre1948 Unlimited Championship, finishing 71 points clear of Simon Clover. 3: Adrian and Bob Dawson's 1970 750cc BMW big wheeler plies its trade against streamlined kneeler outfits where you would be forgiven for thinking it would be at something of a disadvantage. Not the way Adrian drives it though – two seconds and a win at Cadwell topped off a fine season that saw them lift the Sidecar Based Three-wheeler Championship in convincing style. 4: Mike Powell cleaned up the Bantam races, taking all three Rex Caunt Racing Championship wins and adding the oneoff Formula Cockerels Trophy race for good measure. 5: Nick Bedford produced a championshipwinning display as he took his immaculate 350 Manx Norton to victory in all three Palletforce Championship races. Jack Hebb provided the main opposition and finished second to Bedford in the final standings. 6: Mike Bevan (745 Norton Atlas) didn't have the best of weekends in the Three Bears Championship with a second place in race two being his best result in the class, but he was far enough ahead in the championship that it didn't matter in the end. 7: Ben Kingham aviates his K100 over The Mountain on the way to the BEARS Championship win. He started the weekend with victory in race one, followed by two second places behind George Hogton-rusling. However, as Hogton-rusling was not registered for the championship, Kingham took maximum points and with it, the series win.
