Classic Racer

PRE-TT Paddock Gossip

-

The first victim of the 40 years of age cut off for newcomers at the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT is former Grand Prix racer Bernard Fau. Experienced Frenchman Fau, 65, was racing as a newcomer on the Billown circuit at the Classic TT as part of his planned build up to the Classic TT. With an entry already in before the news of the new age limit was announced he made the journey to the Isle of Man anyway. The irony is that it was Bernard’s intention to make a documentary showing you are never too old to be a newcomer in sport and he already had a deal in place with a film company.
