James Cowton

Following a four-bike accident at Stadium Bends, during the last race of the day at the Southern 100, James Cowton, from Driffield, South Yorkshire, lost his life. James was a rising star on the road circuits and as well as his modern bike commitments he was a big supporter of the Classic TT. Lincolnshire TT star Ivan Linton was seriously injured and as Classic Racer went to press he was described as critical but stable. Yorkshireman Jamie Coward suffered shoulder injuries and rising Manxman Mickey Evans leg and arm injuries. All at Classic Racer sent their sincere condolences to James Cowton’s family and friends and wish the other injured riders full and speedy recoveries.
