CRMC AT FORTY

-

The CRMC is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its foundation in 1979 by Alan Cathcart and the club is organising a get-together at the CRMC Snetterton meeting this September and would like to hear from those involved at the Redgate Lodge meeting back in 1979. Please contact Gordon Russell or John Davidson if you were there. Gordon Russell is on: 01789 740866 (e-mail: gordon. russell@crmc.co.uk) and John Davidson on: 01142 873885 (e-mail: john.davidson@crmc. co.uk).

MORE OVER 55S

The CRMC recognises veteran riders and following the success of the over 55s class in the CRMC Classic 350 races, (the over 55s are now the biggest group in the 350 Classic race) the same format has been introduced to the Classic 500 and Post Classic 350 Grand Prix classes for 2019. Already members are showing a keen interest in the new classes, as riders relish the chance to compete against others in their own age group.

FUELLING IT

The CRMC welcomes new fuel supplier Classic Fuel Solutions, who are offering their bespoke 105 octane fuel in 20-litre Jerry Cans with a £10 refundable deposit.

ON DISPLAY

Entries for the Grand Prix bike display at the Classic Motorcycle Festival at Donington are arriving faster than ever before, with more than 50 bikes entered within a month of the announcement in Classic Racer. For most visitors this event is the highlight of the season, with all bikes permitted to run unsilenced and the Wheatcroft Trophy Race, powered by Classic Racer, taking centre stage. Enquiries about entering the Grand Prix bike display and parade should be directed to the CRMC’S John Davidson, preferably via e-mail at john.davidson@crmc.co.uk
