Usually the larger capacity machines are to be found at the front of the BEARS field, but a combination of tight track and inclement weather suited Tyler Scothern and his nimble BSA B50 very well. He took all four races at the Three Sisters Circuit, but Robert Bowden's BMW K100 ran him close in race three, finishing just 0.25s adrift.

Andrew Widdowson made the most of Saturday's wind and rain to take both Supermono races.the first outing was a very close affair as David Glossop (#10 KTM RC390) was just a tenth of a second behind at the finish.

Jack Hebb's very tidy 550 Honda did the business in the Pre-1983 air-cooled Japanese class, carrying him to four wins in group 4.

Andy Hunt (#100 450 Ducati) and Rich Hawkins (#60 350 Ducati) shared the honours in the Lacey Ducati Championship, taking two wins apiece. Race three was very closely fought, with hunt getting the verdict by a tenth of a second.

The evergreen combination of Mervyn Stratford and his 85-year old 250 Rudge remain hard to beat in the ACU Girder Fork Championship, taking two wins and a second place over the weekend. He was particularly dominant in the first race, leading his nearest rival home by over a lap.

James Gerrard (#226 500 Manx Norton) made a reasonable start to the weekend with second and third place finishes behind Mike Bevan (#239 500 Seeley G50) in the Bob Newby Championship. Gerrard came good in the better conditions on Sunday, taking both wins from Bevan.

Sean Hegarty and James Neave won the first two BEARS sidecar races but then had the opportunity to race Steve Kemp's Moto Guzzi outfit in race three. After a couple of familiarisation laps, Hegarty pulled the pin and reeled in leaders Steve Gagg and Sylvia Hase to win by three
