Dick Hawes

Tributes have been paid to a TT stalwart Dick Hawes who passed away after a long illness.

Dick, who was originally from Port Erin in the Isle of Man, started his TT career, which spanned 42 years, with him competing on solos as well as driving and passengering sidecars.

He only missed five sidecar races during that time, and until his illness was a regular at the PRE-TT Classic for many years.
