MSV INVESTS IN IMPROVEMENTS

-

Jonathan Palmer’s MSV group has been busy over the winter months, spending considerable amounts of money on improvements to four of their already excellent facilities – Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Snetterton and Oulton Park all benefitting from extensive work.

At Brands Hatch the changes centre around Clearways and Clark Curve, with the run-off areas being extensively reprofiled, moving the Armco and fencing further away with a significant increase in size of the gravel trap. As part of this, spectating will be improved with a raised viewing area.

The changes at Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park are also extensive, the most popular of which for competitors is likely to be a huge increase in the amount of hard standing in the paddock. Something like 3000 square metres of additional tarmac is being laid, which will double the amount previously available. Also the existing paddock office, next to the scrutineering bay, is being replaced.

Some minor changes are also being made to the circuit itself including resurfacing at the chicane, and the Armco barriers are being reprofiled at Hall bends and the start/finish straight, which will improve the effectiveness of the run-off areas.

Norfolk’s Snetterton circuit also sees changes to the Armco, with them being replaced and realigned along the Bentley Straight. The circuit also has two new fire trucks, a fast response vehicle and recovery truck. Finally improvements have been made to the IT facilities and circuit CCTV.

Oulton Park has also had work done over the past weeks, with new concrete run-off at Old Hall and Lodge corner, which will benefit those riders who find themselves running out of track.

Giles Butterfield, MSV’S group operations manager said: “We continue to invest in its circuits to ensure both competitors and visitors benefit from an improved experience, whether they are racing on track or using facilities such as restaurants and toilets.”
