INCREDIBLE YEAR FOR BARTON TEAM
Joe Barton and his Minnovation Racing team have been on top form throughout the 2021 CRMC season.
The West Yorkshire-based squad went into the last round looking to seal a total of five championships (for more see our CRMC coverage.)
In the Motosuperbike and ACU Post Classic championships Barton was pushed hard all the way by his main challenger John Dieterman: both running Continental race tyres this season…
Despite challenging weather on the Saturday, Dieterman took the wins on the day, with Joe holding his nerve to trail in 2nd place in both races – good enough to take both titles. Barton was also able to take the 350cc Club, 500cc Club and ACU 500 titles on Minnovation machinery. To do this he used a range of Continental race tyres, including Contiroadattack 3 CR classic radials for 18-inch wheels, as well as 17-inch Contiraceattack rubber.
After the race meeting, Joe said: “To do what we did against such tough opposition is incredible: unbeaten in the ACU 500 and not a crash all year – it's a credit to the team: thanks to them, my wife, family and friends.”
