TRIUMPH CELEBRATES 120 YEARS
At the British motorcycle Grand Prix in August, Triumph celebrated 120 years – just before the Triumph-powered Moto2 machines headed out for their race.
The unique parade lap featured a number of historic models, ridden around the Silverstone circuit. These included: the original Steve Mcqueen ‘Great Escape’ TR6, from the classic wartime movie; the original Triumph Moto2 ‘mule’ a Daytona 675; a 1994 Speed Triple; a recently discovered 1901 Triumph prototype; a 1949 Thunderbird; and an X-75 Hurricane.
