Charles r Cross
Charles R Cross is the author of nine books, including three New York Times bestsellers. His 2012 biography of Heart, Kicking & Dreaming, is being developed for a TV series. From 1986 to 2000 Charles was Editor of The Rocket, the Seattle music magazine which helped launch grunge. This issue he’s written about Heart’s identity-changing The Road Home (p66).
Bill DeMain
Bill DeMain is a very busy chap. He’s a songwriter, journalist, BBC correspondent and owner/ guide of the Walkin’ Nashville music history tour. His latest work includes a solo album Transatlantic Romantic and the acclaimed book Sgt. Pepper At 50. This month he takes a look at Jimi Hendrix’s first few months in London (p26).
