What a great Deep Purple cover! But what did it look like without the lettering? Idea for a T-shirt!

Hi CR, just wanted to say I loved the Deep Purple/ Purple Reign issue. I’ve always liked them but it’s amazing to realise quite how far their impact stretched across the world of rock. Just one quibble: no Steve Morse feature? Really?! He’s been in the band longer than Blackmore and still gets labelled ‘the new guy’! A most enjoyable read though. And what a pleasant surprise to find PFM in there as well. They really are an overlooked gem in prog rock, with a brilliant story behind them. I came across them by chance some years ago, but I think this is pretty much the first big piece

I’ve seen on them in a major publication.
