Physical Graffiti
There is no greater symbol of Led Zeppelin’s power than Physical Graffiti. As a double album of studio material it’s a classic of the form, equal to Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland and the Stones’ Exile On Main St. It was also the first Zep release on the band’s own label, Swan Song.
The cornerstone tracks are among Zeppelin’s very best: the grandiose, Eastern-themed Kashmir; the funky Trampled
Under Foot; the cataclysmic In My Time Of Dying. And although leftovers from previous albums were used to fill up the four vinyl sides, these included great songs such as Night Flight, and Page’s serene acoustic piece Bron-Yr-Aur.
