Classic Rock

Welcome

- Siân Llewellyn, Editor

Like it or not, reunions (both big and small) have been an important part of the rock’n’roll firmament in recent years. Whether it was the Eagles freezing Hell over and getting back on stage together, Status Quo’s Frantic Four taking things out for another spin around the block, the original Alice Cooper band returning for a couple of songs and some shows, Ozzy rejoining Sabbath, The Smashing Pumpkins playing anniversary dates right now, the list goes on and on…

In Classic Rock’s world, the one reunion we probably all hoped for but didn’t really think would ever materialise was Guns N’ Roses. Would we ever see Axl, Slash and Duff together again on stage in our lifetime? Well, it turns out, yes we would. And it’s been one of the most epic reunions yet… So this month, as he prepares to release his lastest solo album with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, we sit down with Slash (ie The Busiest Man In Rock) to hear all about life back in GN’R, his new record, #MeToo and generally where he’s at in 2018.

Elsewhere in this issue we discover how Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason put together his Saucerful Of Secrets; we visit Fish at home; revisit the Clash’s trip to Ireland in 1977 and so much more.

Until next month…
