The video for Guns N’ Roses’ November Rain – released in 1992 and featured on Volume One of their album Use Your Illusion – has now attracted one billion viewers on YouTube, making it the first video from the 1990s to reach that landmark. The nineminute epic portrays frontman Axl Rose marrying his then girlfriend Stephanie Seymour.

Gene Simmons (pictured) has settled a lawsuit accusing him of sexual battery during an interview. Last December the Kiss bassist was accused by a female California­n writer of making “several aggressive, unwanted sexual advances” despite “active and clear discourage­ment.” At the time, Simmons “vigorously” denied the allegation­s, promising to fight them in court, but now the case has been dismissed.

An audio-visual documentat­ion of US band Alter Bridge’s two-night stand at the seminal London venue last year, Alter Bridge: Live At The Royal Albert Hall arrives on CD, DVD, Blu-ray and vinyl on September 7. It co-stars the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra, led by conductor Simon Dobson.
