Bad Touch
Shake A Leg
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and all that. Norfolk’s Bad Touch know exactly where their strengths lie, so they’re not about to throw any crazy experimental curve balls for their fans. Their latest album is honest, bluesy rock’n’roll with big fat choruses tailor-made for arenas and a feeling of unpretentious freedom. If you want the soundtrack to a party, plug in to Lift Your Head Up or Dressed to Kill; if you want emotion try Slow Tempest for size. Feel the need to stomp your feet? Then Hammer Falls should get the blood pumping. The only slight misstep is I Belong, an homage to their home turf, which is just a tad too syrupy for its own good. But you can always seek solace in Tussle, Show Me What It Means and the cracking single Skyman.
Simple stuff, done really well.
