Nikki Sixx has con­firmed that the four mem­bers of Möt­ley Crüe have been record­ing new ma­te­rial for the sound­track to the group’s up­com­ing biopic The Dirt.

I Never Dreamed with his band The Kon­rads was recorded in 1963. The tape was dis­cov­ered by the group’s drum­mer, David Had­field, in his at­tic. Bowie quit the band af­ter the demo was re­jected by Decca Records.

Hawk­wind have parted com­pany with their vo­cal­ist and multi-in­stru­men­tal­istn Mr Dibs af­ter 21 years due to “ir­rec­on­cil­able dif­fer­ences”. Mr Dibs says: “Hawk­wind is so much more than the mu­sic and band.” Phil Collins has spo­ken of the slim like­li­hood of a re­union of Ge­n­e­sis with his teenaged son Nic (pic­tured) on drums. Collins se­nior, who came out of re­tire­ment last year, re­veals that Ge­n­e­sis’s Mike Ruther­ford and Tony Banks have ad­mired Nic’s play­ing. “They both were rav­ing about Nic,” he says. “Any­thing is pos­si­ble.”

BMG Records re­lease a new edi­tion of Uriah Heep’s 1972 al­bum De­mons And Wizards, with newly reimag­ined art­work by Roger Dean, on Novem­ber 23. Avail­able on 180g vinyl and as a CD me­dia book, it’s a part of the la­bel’s Art Of The Al­bum series.
