Thunder release an album called Please Remain Seated on January 18 via BMG. Said to be a “collection of radically reworked versions of songs from throughout our extensive catalogue”, it will be promoted by dates in Cardiff on February 1, Ipswich 2, Manchester 4, York 5, Gateshead 6, Glasgow 8, Leicester 9, Bath 11 and Birmingham 12. Support comes from Dan Reed.

Geddy Lee reveals that there are “zero plans” for Rush to tour again. However, the bassist/ vocalist did tell Rolling Stone that seeing “one of us or two of us or three of us” – i.e. solo projects or him working with guitarist Alex Lifeson – remains “possible”. Lee’s book The Big Beautiful Book Of Bass is published on December 4 via Harper Collins.
