Slayer To Sign Off At Download

Pumpkins, Dream Theater and Anthrax also on bill.

Slayer, Smashing Pumpkins, Dream Theater, Anthrax and Blackberry Smoke are among the latest names announced for next summer’s Download Festival. It’s set to be the final UK show from Slayer. It will be the first time at Download for Smashing Pumpkins( pictured ), who are engaged in a 30th-anniversary tour.

As usual, Download takes place at Donington Park, over the weekend of June 14-16 in 2019, with headliners Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool, and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators and Whitesnake among the supporting cast (the latter have have confirmed that their new studio album, Flesh & Blood, which was delayed due to “technical issues whilst mixing”, will now be released in May).

Elsewhere on the 2019 festival circuit, Foo Fighters have been confirmed as the headliners of the Reading and Leeds Festivals, which take place on August Bank holiday weekend, while Steelhouse Festival, which runs from July 26-28 in its usual Welsh Mountain top location, will feature Living Colour, Gun, Crobot and The Amorettes, with many more names to follow.
