The Rolling Stones
Voodoo Lounge Uncut
The postapocalyptic city of 1989’s Steel Wheels comeback was a tough act to follow, yet somehow the Stones raised the stadium bar again on 1994’s record-breaking Voodoo Lounge tour, aided by a colossal flame-spitting cobra lighting tower, pioneering computer graphics and a second stage for intimate acoustic strumalongs.
The mood is relaxed as the irrepressible lounge lizards are on frequently flame-snorting form focusing on early classics, joined by Sheryl Crow, Robert Cray, and original inspiration Bo Diddley on Who Do You Love, before Keith’s lonesome The Worst heralds an explosive home stretch climaxing with Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
Expanded from 1996’s video, the entire 150-minute Miami set is joined by five tracks from the Giants Stadium New York show.
