Malcolm Cecil

As well as being a record producer and jazz bassist – he played with Alexis Korner in Blues Incorporated – Malcolm Cecil (pictured) was a co-designer of the world’s largest analogue synthesiser, named TONTO. He was also half of the duo Tonto’s Expanding Head Band, who released the allsynthesiser album Zero Time in 1971. He was 84 years old.
