Waft away the corporate fumes of his American Idol breakthrough and you couldn’t dream a better alt.bluesman than Kravitz-photogenic Zach Person. Marinated in the Austin scene but electronica-minded, Can’t Stop Running is a fair thumbnail sketch of Person’s talents. Taken from his selftitled debut album, it’s trashy and thrashy, tooled with a chorus that won’t quit, and has a frankly preposterous video that sees him get shoved into a paddling pool. Perhaps blues great Buddy Guy said it best: “The young man is hot!”
