KK Returns To Priest For HOF

Ian Hill wonders if ‘reunion’ could “kick-start something”.

JUDAS PRIEST HAVE confirmed that former members KK Downing and Les Binks are both set to be a part of the band’s induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (which will have taken place in Los Angeles by the time you read this).

Perhaps surprisingly given the war of words caused by guitarist Downing’s exit from Priest more than a decade ago, both sides seem happy to approach the event in as gentlemanly a way as possible.

“It’ll go by in a flash, won’t it?” Downing told Ultimate Classic Rock. “I think we’ve probably got eight or nine minutes. It’ll be quite something to look forward to, just to get up there and crank the amps up and just do it once again, for that short moment in time.”

Bass player Ian Hill, Priest’s only everpresent member, hopes the shared experience could bring the band’s problems with Downing to an end.

“He’s going to play some songs with us there. It might kick-start something,

I don’t know. On the other hand, he might pull us all apart,” Hill said with a laugh.
