The Peterborough rockers’ next album, Those City Lights, is released on November 4, and if this first slice is anything to go by then the rest will be pretty damn good too. Mountain is a banger; a soaring, classy swirl of commanding riffs, sweet melody and expansive keyboards. It’s familiar yet rousing stuff, mixing classic 70s oomph with Foo Fighters expanse. If you’re already a fan you’ll love it (it very much builds on 2017’s Before Dark Clouds and 2019 mini-album Austin Gold). If you’re not, get involved.
