Pegaso and Ricart
This is part two of David Beare’s fine study of enigmatic engineer Wifredo Ricart’s radical designs for his own cars, plus those for Alfa before WW2 and for Pegaso post-war. It’s crammed with detail, such as his Auto Unionlike flat-12 racer and a proposed roadgoing coupé version, decades ahead of the modern supercar. It’s beautifully illustrated, with technical drawings and colour archive. DE £25 David Beare. ISBN 978 0 9547363 5 4 (www.stinkwheel.co.uk)
