Price snags season finale

Simon Price won the Campbell Trophy by topping a field of more than 50 pre-war cars in his Ford Model A (below) at the Vintage Sports-car Club’s Scottish Trial on 14 April, the final round of the 2017-’18 Trials Championship.

Price also led the Class 1 cars, while best performance in a Class 2 car was Tim Kemp in his 1930 Austin Franklin special. Malcolm Gordon took the best performance by a Scottish-domiciled entrant, while Nicholas Beck won Class 1A in his 1929 Austin Seven.

The VSCC’S 2018-’19 Trials Championship kicks off with the Welsh Trial on 13 October.
