WET-AND-DRY HOOVER

Budget wet-and-dry hand-held vacuum cleaners don’t come much more affordable than Hoover’s Jovis Plus at £49.99, but its attractive price comes with compromises. Run time is a workable 13 minutes, offset by a mammoth charge time of 16 hours and, at 2.2kg, we found it to be rather heavy and cumbersome during extended use. Suction is adequate when used with the supplied crevice tool, but the pick-up area is so tiny – even without the attachment fitted – that it’s better suited to small jobs. No match for your main vacuum cleaner, but handy for quick clean up work – particularly if you have sticky-pawed children in the car. GM www.hoover.com
