With its air-cooled flat-six, clean styling and a reputation for dodgy handling, the Corvair is one of the most intriguing American cars. They have a loyal following in the US, but interest has not gained much momentum in Europe and they are cheap as chips on both continents: you can buy a running example of one of the less exotic variants for $2000. Yet they are pretty, engaging to drive and certainly not the killer cars of their reputation.
