Reach for the sky
Excitement in the air should more than match that on the track. To mark 100 years since the foundation of the Royal Air Force, the Bremont Great War Display Team will recreate a WW1 dogfight, pitching the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Naval Air Service and US Army Air Service against the Imperial German Air Service. Taking us into WW2, we’ll have daily displays from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster trio, plus solo displays from its Dakota (see p202).
Others to thrill in the air will include aerobatic ace Lauren Richardson in her Pitts Special, while Finest Hour Experiences will offer Tiger Moth passenger flights throughout the event.
