Robert Smith’s Vintage Car Radiator Company, based in The Main Workshops, embodies the spirit of Bicester Heritage more than most. As well as specialising in the manufacture and re-coring of automotive radiators, the firm has close ties with the historic aviation industry. One of its most recent projects involved building a radiator for a Hawker Hurricane, and the team’s next challenge is to rebuild a Hawker Tempest unit that takes two people to lift!

The engineers make their own cores on site, stamping them from copper ribbon, so will be able to produce a radiator for almost any vintage application. The shop will be open at various times throughout the Show weekend.
