The Motor Shed Ltd
The Special Repair Shop saw plenty of use during Bicester’s time as a maintenance base, so it’s fitting that the building is dedicated to the upkeep of classic machinery. The Motor Shed is run by Mark Elder, who took over the business from dad Malcolm and has a lifetime of experience in preparing, maintaining and racing classic and vintage machines, and is hoping to join the demonstrations with his 1930 Seven Ulster and a Riley Grebe Replica – if he hasn’t sold it!
The firm tends to specialise in pre-war Austin and Alvis, but the current stock is a broad church – everything from a ’59 Austin Princess Vanden Plas Limousine to a delightful 41-seater 1974 Bedford Plaxton Panorama coach. The showroom will be open throughout the weekend. 01869 249999; vintageandclassiccars.co.uk
