Pendine

Pendine specialises in the sale of historic cars for both road and track, and its doors will be open throughout the Show weekend. The cars are presented within the beautifully tiled walls of the Blast House – so called because it is bomb-proof thanks to its mighty outer concrete wall: this was once a working bomber base, remember.

As well as its architectural features, the Blast House retains its working gantry crane, which stands watch over a stock list that’s likely to include Jaguar, Austin-healey, Frazer Nash, Bristol and at times even hairy Corvette racers. On the live-action track you’ll spot ‘Chuck’, the Triumph TR4 racer that Pendine owner James Mitchell shares with C&SC ’s own Julian Balme, with plans to demonstrate an Allard as well. 07770 762751; http://pendine.co
