Aircraft flying today, whether modern or historic, are obliged to carry modern radios and navigational equipment. The BBMF Dakota is fitted with two V/UHF radios, an Instrument Landing System, a VHF Omnidirectional Ranging system, a Distance Measuring positioning system and an Identification Friend or Foe system.
