Bentley Boys land in the Mews
For some, originality is key to the appeal of a classic. If you happen to be a fan of vintage Bentleys and fall into that camp, you’ll be painfully aware of how many of these magnificent vehicles have been reconfigured since they left Cricklewood, which makes Fiskens’ latest offerings all the more exciting.
First up is a matching-numbers 1929 41/2 Litre with Weymann body by Maythorn & Sons. One of just eight 41/2 Litres known to survive with saloon coachwork, this fine machine is original right down to its exterior fabric.
The 1930 41/2 Litre is another matching-numbers car, although this time with Vanden Plas tourer body. Remarkably, it too retains its original fabric and boasts a beautifully mellowed cockpit. See www.fiskens.com
