Fifty-one years af­ter it first took to the streets ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, the spec­tac­u­lar Lam­borgh­ini Marzal was back in the Prin­ci­pal­ity. In 1967, along­side Princess Grace, Prince Rainier III drove the Mar­cello Gan­dini-styled con­cept. Thanks to the ef­forts of Lam­borgh­ini’s Polo Storico di­vi­sion, their son, Al­bert II, was able to fol­low in their wheel­tracks. The four-seater Marzal – which made its de­but at the ’67 Geneva Sa­lon, a few weeks be­fore its Monaco ap­pear­ance – was joined on track this year by an ex­am­ple of the car it in­spired: the Es­pada.
