FERRARI 365GTB/4

Mike Birtwistle

-

“This is my first Daytona, but I’ve had a 400, 412, 330 and 365GTC/4. The latter was lovely to drive, with factory hydraulic power steering – my car’s electric system is a bit light, like a Jaguar XJ-S. But I love the car: it is the ex-col Ronnie Hoare Daytona, delivered in March 1972, featured in an Autocar group test in 1973, and later part of the Maranello Sales historic fleet from 2001-’04.

“It doesn’t have a bad angle, and it’s practical so I use it quite a lot.

It’s also easy to live with: it costs £2-3k a year to run and always starts, even if it’s left for months.”
