Les 24 Heures du Mans
Henri Béroul was a keen amateur photographer, successfully running his camera shop in the centre of Le Mans and gaining an access-all-areas media pass for 30 years of the 24 Hours race, from 1949. Each year he took behind-the-scenes photos, which made his store a Mecca for local motorsport enthusiasts to view his intimate car and driver images. Almost 35 years after Béroul’s death, his son Joël has compiled this exceptional, previously unpublished Le Mans photographic collection, covering the legendary 1950s to ’80s era over 192 pages. It’s French language only, but features a wealth of both familiar and oft-forgotten cars, plus the men who raced them, making it a visual treat for any fans of Le Mans and rarely-seen competition cars.
