Locals shine at Barcelona show

-

Spain’s automotive output might be limited, but there was plenty of local fare for sale at Autoretro Barcelona from 18-21 October. Rare cars included a 1963 Seat 800. One of few survivors of the longwheelbase Seat (née Fiat) 600, it looked appealing at €7500. Also 600-based was a one-of-10 1964 Corver at €20k, while among the 1430 saloons was a tidy 1972 car first owned by singer Julio Iglesias, stickered at €16,000; a poverty-spec Seat 124 of the same vintage was up for €4800. There was also a lovely 850 Coupé for €12,900 and an unmolested 1966 1500 Berlina for €5k. British expats included a 1969 Morris 1300, a 1970 Land-rover Santana, plus a brace of Minis.
