Asking price £39,990 Vendor Cameron Sports Cars, Wilts; tel: 01225 892244; www.cameron sportscars.com For Well kept and the right money Against Usual slight wear to driver’s seat bolster

This Afn-supplied Cabrio has 20 stamps in the book, the last in November 2017 at 92,118 miles, and will be serviced again before sale. It presents well: it’s been painted in its original Midnight Blue, for which there’s no bill, though there are lots for ongoing care since ’02. It’s still even and shiny, with just a couple of small sink marks.

The wheels look to have been refurbished, shod with 2001/’02-dated Pirelli P6000s, half worn on the rear and a third worn on the front. The spacesaver has never been used, and the original paint-code sticker is still present. It’s unscuffed underneath, the rear-wing stays aren’t rusty and the exhaust looks in good shape.

Inside, the leather shows little wear bar a small patch on the driver’s bolster, as normal, and the gearknob isn’t worn. There’s slight discolouring to the door pulls, but the power hood is undamaged, works perfectly and still has its cover.

Once past the Toad alarm, it starts instantly and drives tightly, with taut responses, good synchros and an absence of scuttle shake. Warm oil pressure is a maximum 5bar at revs, 2bar at tickover. Prod it, and it sounds and goes like a proper 911, with smooth brakes. The electrics all work, and the MOT runs to November.
