Cabin FIVA
The pandemic has prompted the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens to rethink its approach to its Identity Card scheme, with the process set to go digital from this March.
The ID cards are offered to any historic vehicles that meet a stringent set of requirements: that they are 30 or more years old, historically correct, and that they are not used for everyday transport, which would otherwise exclude them from being ‘part of our technical and cultural heritage’.
The subject must be inspected to ensure that it complies with the FIVA Technical Code. Should it pass, the card provides a guide to the vehicle’s history, authenticity and specification. It lasts 10 years, or until a change of ownership. See fivamembers.org
