BERLINETTAS A CLASS APART

-

Italian Berlinettas are set to star at this year’s London Concours at the Honourable Artillery Company in the capital from 8-10 June.

The event will celebrate some of the greatest tourers of the 1960s, a golden age that produced design icons such as the Ferrari 250GT SWB, the Iso Grifo and the Lancia Flaminia Super Sport Zagato.

Examples of each are expected to be among the cars in attendance, including the only right-hand-drive 1961 Ferrari 250GT SWB ‘Sefec Hot Rod,’ one of only three right-hooker competition Short Wheelbases built. Stirling Moss campaigned the Ferrari at Daytona, Goodwood and Silverstone, winning five out of the six races he contested with it. A Ferrari 275GTB/C is also expected to appear.

Nearly 100 vehicles will be on display across the three days, one more than in previous years. The first day will be a VIP Preview, followed by what has been called the ‘Style Edition,’ finishing on Supercar Day. Tickets are on sale now from londonconcours.co.uk/tickets and Classic & Sports Car readers can take advantage of a special two-for-one ticket offer by using the promotional code ‘LC21CSC’ at the checkout.
