Capri: not pants

After reading the Anorak fact in the Forgotten Fords story (Top ten, March), I thought you might like to see a photograph of my ‘bloated’ Ford Capri. True, it’s about 100kg heavier than the original MX-5 and larger than the Barchetta, but that’s because Ford USA insisted that Ford Australia gave it a back seat.

One benefit is that I can actually fit in it and drive it comfortably, something I could never do in an MX-5. This one is a fine daily driver at 30 years old, which only needs normal maintenance thanks to all of the Mazda mechanicals. My wife likes hers, too!
