How long have you been in business? About 45 years. I started importing Rolls-royces, Bentleys, Jensens and Lotus to Germany after graduating from high school, and moved to the States in the ’80s.

What is your specialism European racing and sports cars, but 70% of my business is classic Ferraris.

What was ‘the one that got away’? In 1999, trading an Apollo training capsule and a Land Speed Record car against the Mercedes-benz 300SLR at the Henry Ford Museum.

What’s the best classic you’ve ever owned? A Jaguar D-type.

How is the market? Surprisingly strong. Video inspections have been resulting in sales from the States to Europe and vice versa.
