ALPINE REVIVAL
An event last run when Louis Chiron and Hans Stuck dominated will be resurrected in Switzerland later this year. The International St Moritz Automobile Week graced the calendar in 1930 and is being revived by organisers of the Bernina Gran Turismo, which from 16-19 September is one of the pillars of an event that now includes a concours and sprint.
The Kilometre Lance – Alpine 1000 (10-12 Sept) will reimagine the 1km race, albeit as a sprint at Engadin Airport, while The Motorsport Revival (15-17 Sept) will bring a wealth of racing and sports cars to a concours at the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains, the site of the original show.
